Merchant City

The flat had belonged to an older gentleman and it still had all the features of the 1980, but the new owner wanted to redecorate and to make it appealing to young professionals for rental purposes.

To give the flat a more modern look the walls were scraped, replastered, painted and papered. The carpet was replaced with wooden flooring in all rooms except the bedroom where a bold brown carpet was fitted. The colour schemes were primrose and light blue for the living room to create a relaxing and convivial atmosphere, while a gentle yellow green was used in the bedroom. To make the flat appealing to the target market low maintenance furniture was added. The bathroom went from all red to relaxing grey.
