In this project I was involved as colour consultant for the walls only. The clients who contacted me had already designed their house in nearly all details. They needed guidance in choosing the right colour scheme for their rooms. They wanted colours that brought the entire house decor together and emphasised their art.

Since their paintings were the focal point in all rooms, with the exception of the living room where a gorgeous pendant would eventually have centre stage, I took inspiration from the art for the colour scheme of each room.

For the dining room a warm and bright orange was chosen, which replicates the colours of the painting and softens up the the dark colours of the kitchen unit.

For the bedroom and other space a more muted orange was chosen. The inspiration for this colour scheme was a beautiful painting of a sunset.

For the living room a dark brown was chosen for the feature wall. The dark colour replicates some of the spheres of the pendant and emphasises the blue of the paintings. The other walls are to be painted in a gentle cream yellow colour.
